So, being an Android user, and a big fan of the GPS capabilities on my phone, I decided to create an android app that contains a list of all of the Georgia skateparks(at least I think I have them all on there) where all you have to do is click on the name of a skatepark and your phone will automatically open up Google Navigator and give you turn-by-turn directions to that park from wherever you’re currently located. I spent a lot of time making this. I know it will come in handy for me, but I’m also hoping some of you other Android users find it useful as well. I’d also love some feedback on it. You can scan the QR code in this post or just click this link to download the app.

Please feel free to leave comments regarding the app, let me know if you come across any bugs, if I left out any skateparks, etc.

So as of April 1st the website turned one year old. The way this site came to be was basically me just searching around for available domain names and I came across this one and really liked it. I’ve been skating since 1984 and it’s been a very important part of my life. I didn’t really know what I was going to do with the site once I purchased the domain, then eventually I thought I would just turn it into a blog and try my best to post all upcoming events, demos, contests, etc. so that people could easily find all this info in one spot instead of having to search around a lot of different websites to get this info.

I guess there are some people out there who find this useful, as in the past year the site has gone from getting just a few visitors a day, to well over 1000 visitors a month(over 800 absolute unique visitors monthly). So it’s good to know that some people are at least checking out the site and finding it useful. Thanks to everyone for your support over the past year. I’ll keep this site up and running as long as people are using it. I hope I’ve helped make a few people’s lives easier in the process…

This is the biggest shopping season of the year. I know a lot of people out there will be spending money on skate gear as gifts for people during this holiday season. I cannot stress this enough, but please make these purchases from your local skate shops/skateparks. These places depend on this income to stay in business. So for your skate related gift buying please avoid the big online & mall retailers.

Keep the core shops alive!!!!
